Sculpting A Watch Stand
I don’t know about you folks but as a man I need a bit of own time occasionally. Time in my workshop when I can just crack open a brewsky, leave the wife and bairn inside the house and put Talk Sport (or anything else which doesn’t require brain-power) on the radio and just chill. To do that, however, I need a little project. This evening was one such time but I’d literally done every job that our house required and then a few and had no conceivable project left to work on. Hmm…time to make one up. I need some more props for my photography so I figured a watch stand could be ideal. So I selected a hard wood log from the wood pile outside, got out the chisel, mallet, angle grinder and sandpaper and before long this appeared. The “wrist” at the top of the stand is the exact size of my wrist so a bracelet will fasten round it perfectly from any of my watches. For a first attempt I’m quite chuffed!
