Building A Double Watch Stand
Last week I had a go at sculpting a watch stand from a log of hard wood, which I think worked quite well. This week I’ve attempted to build a double watch stand using a couple of scraps of soft wood from my workshop off-cut bucket and a few inches cut off an old Jeep radio antenna. A quick wipe over with teak oil bought the grain out well but other than that the wood has been left untreated or varnished. If you’re going to use such a stand for photography you’ll want to keep the surfaces of the stand as matte as possible to reduce the chance of unwanted reflections.
