  1. Really. I cannot stand screw in lens caps. Have been there with the X100 and the answer is snap on or none. This cannot be a ready to shoot camera with a screw in cap

  2. I think it depends how you use it and what you want it for, Elliot. If I have my X100 just in the half case ready to shoot then no lens cap, screw-in or otherwise, is going to be in place, or like you said, the camera is not ready to shoot. When I’m done shooting, however, and the camera goes back in the bag, that’s when I want the cap on, at which point I’d rather have the screw in kind of cap as it doesn’t accidentally get knocked off and it doesn’t add any length to the end of the lens hood so it doesn’t make it a tighter squeeze in my bag.
